OUR STORY
On August 8, 2015 we matched on an app called Her, while we were 165 miles apart
(there weren’t a lot of people using this app)
Cris: I was trying to avoid matching people far away, but something about this profile stopped me from caring about that. I swiped right and we were a match! We got to talking and I learned Kristin was in Albany for school. Coincidentally, I had just made plans to head to Albany in the next week to see my favorite bands in concert.
Kristin: I hadn’t heard of either of the bands she was coming to see, but that didn’t stop me from accepting her offer of an extra ticket. I was only in Albany at this time for soccer, which prevented me from attending the concert after all. Luckily we were still able to meet that night.
Cris: And even though Kristin missed this concert, there were many more to come over the next 8 years. They feel like mile markers over the course of our relationship.
Kristin: Music has been such a big part of our relationship since the beginning. I asked Cristina for a “musication” after she convinced me to download Spotify weeks after meeting. Now we cherish so many amazing memories surrounding the music we share with one another.
